I don’t understand the caption/image, either. Reading the comments from Chris doesn’t help. I guess if you weren’t there you aren’t supposed to understand.
It only took 2 GPS and at least 2 paper maps plus 3 or 4 backtracks, but we eventually made it to Henry Coe State Park.
Chris provides a trip report with a few snapshots. Dick provides more pictures of the bikes and riders that rode south to Nepenthe.
It was a hastily called affair for Thursday, 4/6/10. Two riders, Burns and Weld, with Don Theile making an appearance for the leisurely consumed breakfast and conversation at the L&M Restaurant in downtown Livermore.
Chris provides comments and postage stamp sized pics of a ride north described as “A GREAT Ride”. Five riders. No traffic. Great weather. Major WWWobble sends some pics, too.
Marc and Major WWWobble went to lunch. Lunch was quite good, but it turned out a bit more expensive than expected.
Brunch at Bobbi’s then freeway south to eventually pick up San Juan Grade. The grade takes us near San Juan Bautista where we turn onto the 11 mile road that dead ends at Fremont Peak St Park.
The first Mid-Week ride of the new year was called by the guy who didn’t show up. Not his fault… seems that the desired week got mis-communicated. Any way…. 7 riders met in Castro Valley for breakfast then rode to the top of Diablo and down the other side, taking Morgan Territory Rd back toward Livermore. Short ride, but a good way to start the MWR year.
