Mid-Week Riders/Mid-Week Rides [2011]

Mid-Week Riders

Mid-Week Riders

The weather folks were warning of high winds from the East. Of course that was the planned direction. When some of the riders nixed going up Mt Diablo (70+ MPH winds reported) Chris led us instead on a tour of the low level wind generations farms in the Sacramento river delta. WWWobble and Marc returned early.

Six riders including one on his first MWR ride rode through wine country and, surprise, surprise, found a closed road. Imagine this group doing that! Report and pictures from Chris.

Mid week riders

Mid week riders

A short (under 200 mile) late spring mid-week ride that looped from the east bay to south bay over Mt Hamilton. Nine riders, moderate temperatures, and good times.

Leaving Cazadero

Leaving Cazadero

Five riders on one of the Captain’s favorite rides. After breakfast in Novato we headed north to Healdsburg, picking up Dry Creek Road to Lake Sonora, then taking Skaggs Spring Rd toward the coast, heading back south on Tin Barn and Kings Ridge into Cazadero. Excellent weather. Lots of pictures. One broken side case.

Two riders braved the North Bay wet for at least part of the day. The planned route is still unridden, waiting for better weather.

On the way up Diablo

Six for breakfast. One more before the ride started. Two lost at the start. One found before the ride was over. A new road for Pete and several new roads for Dave. What a way to spend a winter (!) day.
